Software Development for 3PL and Logistics Companies
Growing 3PLs run on disconnected tools, spreadsheets, and manual handoffs. We build the connected operating system that lets a 3PL scale customers, services, and facilities without multiplying software.
The problems we get called about
- Every new customer brings new requirements your current software cannot model.
- Billing is reconstructed at month end, and accessorial revenue leaks.
- Customers expect real-time visibility your systems cannot show them.
- The WMS handles execution, but everything around it lives in spreadsheets.
- Multi-facility growth multiplies every manual process you have.
Why 3PLs outgrow their software
A third-party logistics business sells operational excellence on other companies’ inventory. That means every customer brings its own item rules, billing contract, reporting expectations, and integration requests. Off-the-shelf software is built for the average case, and a 3PL is a business of exceptions.
So the exceptions get handled the only way they can be: another spreadsheet, another portal login, another manual routine. It works at five customers. At twenty-five, the operation is spending real payroll on being the glue between its own systems, and management is flying on month-old reports.
Our work for 3PLs starts with a warehouse software modernization assessment: map the current systems, decide what should be retained, integrated, consolidated, or rebuilt, and sequence the work by business impact. The first phases usually land in one of three places: billing automation when revenue is leaking, a customer portal when service teams are drowning in status requests, or WMS integrations when duplicate entry is eating payroll. As the foundation connects, warehouse analytics turn the same data into live operational visibility.
The result is a system your company owns: your workflows, your data, your roadmap, with no per-seat pricing and no vendor deciding what you get next quarter.
Where we focus
Warehouse operating systems
Custom platforms that consolidate quoting, receiving, work orders, billing, and customer workflows around your existing WMS.
Billing and charge capture
Event-driven billing engines that apply each customer's contract automatically as work happens.
Branded customer portals
Self-service visibility, requests, documents, and reporting for every account, under your brand.
Integrations
WMS, ERP, accounting, carrier, EDI, and customer system connections that end duplicate entry.
Common questions
Do you only work with large 3PLs?
No. Most of our fit is with growing operations that have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools, typically planning to invest at least $25,000 in a first phase.
We already have a WMS. Is that a problem?
No, it is the normal starting point. The WMS usually stays and keeps executing the warehouse; we build the workflows, billing, portals, and integrations around it.
How do we find out what this would look like for us?
Start with a Warehouse Software Modernization Blueprint, a working assessment that maps your systems and returns a phased plan with an investment range.
